Stan Little has enjoyed a 38-year career spanning broadband communications, financial services, and non-profit sectors.
An engineer by training, Stan has had a broad range of responsibilities in the development and implementation of emerging technologies, global business development, marketing, and sales.
He helped commercialize some of the pioneering technologies in digital radio, short message service, and IP telephony which powers today’s cellular, text, and voice-over IP (VoIP) services respectively. Stan has attained Top Secret government security clearance through his work with the Departments of Energy and Defense as well as having served in an advisory capacity with the FCC.
Stan Little is a past president of the SunTrust Foundation where he led the philanthropic work to advance financial stability in at-risk communities throughout the Southeast.
In 2020, while Chief Experience Officer of United Way Worldwide, the world’s largest non-profit, Stan led all public-facing operations for the global organization, resulting in the highest revenue ever achieved in the entity’s 137-year history.
He has held multiple Chief Marketing Officer appointments, most recently for the US businesses of Prudential Financial Corporation, and previously led international marketing at NCR Corporation and global marketing for Glenarye Technologies.
He is chairman emeritus of the board of North Fulton Community Charities and currently serves as a Trustee for Florida Southern College where he was the commencement speaker in 2021 and winner of the Ruthven award for civic leadership. He also serves on the Board of WellStar North Fulton Hospital and Emory University Board of Visitors and is a member of Leadership Atlanta. Stan has also held director and advisory posts with private companies and nonprofit organizations.
Stan is an honor graduate from three universities, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Duke University, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Purdue University, where he earned membership into the Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, and a Master of Business Administration in marketing from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
A South Carolina native, Stan has two daughters. He lives in the metro Atlanta area with his wife, Hamida, an attorney, and graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.
